The Liebster Blog Award!

So I have been nominated for the Liebster Blog Award!! Exciting!!!!!

Big thanks to jojo for nominating me!!!

It’s such a privilege to know that people are actually reading my posts and finding them interesting and worth while ☺️

I never thought I would be someone to be noticed for my posts, so it’s pretty amazing!

The idea behind this nice award is to recognize new bloggers and help promote them! You also benefit by getting some promotion!

The rules..

1)- Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog.

2)- Show off your award on your blog (in a post, widget, etc. like I did).

3)- Answer 10 questions given to you by the nominee before you.

4)- Create 10 questions of your own.

5)- Nominate 5-10 of your favourite blogs with fewer than 200 followers and notify them of their nomination.

6)- And of course, tell them about it and provide a link back to your website so that they can know more about the award!

Now here are my answers to the questions I have been given!

Who’s your favorite Disney character?

Oooh that would have to be Alice from Alice in wonderland! That was my favourite childhood film and I always loved Alice’s curiosity as she reminds me very much of myself!

What do you look for in a person?

I look for someone who you can tell is genuine from the moment you meet them, someone who makes you feel you can open up to them without being judged, I like to feel protected, I have been very lucky with meeting my other half, as he is all of those things and more.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Well I’m living the dream so to speak, I’ve always wanted to be a graphic designer, and at the age I am now of 19, I have my own small business with reliable and regular customers who I do designs for, whilst working full time, so I wouldn’t want to change anything.

And if you have found your career, what do you enjoy about it?

I enjoy the freedom, doing things my way, knowing I can only rely on myself for any mistakes made, I can see how most people would disagree but I am extremely self motivated and like doing things on my own. It’s pretty awesome and sooo much less stress! 😞

What do you look forward to about being old?

Hmmm this is tricky, as right now I can’t imagine being any older than my twenties, I guess if I have to give an answer I would say, I look forward to the experiences I will have and the new people I will meet along the way.

What would you do if you have only ten hours to live?

Another brilliant question..
Thinking quickly I would phone everyone I know and throw a party, I would drink but not too much, and spend the time left with loved ones and talk about our memories, but boring I know but traveling would waste precious time..

If someone came up to you and slapped you for no reason, what would you do to them?

I would slap that bitch right back!
Hell they ain’t getting away with that!

How old do you want to be when you die?

These questions are brilliantly planned!
I would say as long as I can, so like until 99! Even though I’m terrified of getting wrinkles, I think I would be the coolest old person ever with all my tattoos and piercings haha!

If you had a limit of 24 words to say to someone, what would you say? And whom to?

I would say ‘believe in yourself darling, because your beautiful, kind, funny, intelligent and amazing and you have the skills to go far and make it big!’
I would say this to my sister ☺️

How would you react if your biggest fear came true?

Let’s just say I would have died of a heart attack.. Let’s leave it there..

If you could be any animal, which would you be and why?

Mmmmmmmm I would be a peregrine falcon.. Hear me out…
I have always wanted to fly, think of the freedom, that amazing feeling you would have from soaring through the air. The peregrine falcon is the fastest bird in the world! You could be flying around and see all the people you don’t like and be like ‘hey fucker’ as they look up you could take the opportunity to relieve yourself, ahh good timing!

Now it’s my turn to create 10 questions for my nominees..
Muhahaha

1. If you had to give up social networking/ the internet what do you think you would miss the most?

2. If you had to wear one colour for the rest of your life (e.g always wearing blue everything, top, jeans, shoes, jumper) what colour would it be?

3. Would you rather have a different accent every 15 minutes or randomly start speaking in another language without being able to control either?

4. Can you choose an existing movie title that best relates to your life?

5. What’s the most awkward situation you have been in?

6. What celebrity is your biggest crush and why?

7. What is your happiest childhood memory?

8. If you won the lottery what is the first thing you would do?

9. What’s the strangest thing you have ever eaten?

10. What is your dream job?

Go Go Go!!! ☺️☺️

Vegetarianism/ My Battle

20140126-210851.jpg

I was a chubby child, not too extreme but I was bigger than the average. I used to snack endlessly when I could get away with it, and fill myself up on my Nan’s big dinners. On days out with my dad we would pig out on McDonald’s, and I was addicted to cheeseburgers. My dad actually nicknamed me ‘cheeseburger head’ for years.
When I stayed with my nan, every morning I would be awoken with a bacon sandwich.
Family’s meals out, I would order as much meat as I could..

One Sunday when I was ten my mum was cooking roast beef dinner, I remember how much I was looking forward to it.
Whilst waiting for dinner I was watching the program ‘kill it cook it eat it’ which happened to be on.
I watched the people on the program hang a cow upside down, slice it’s stomach open and pull it’s guts out whilst the cow was still alive.

From that moment my whole thought process on what I was eating changed, I sat and watched whilst a burger was made and I saw the remains of the cow rot away.
When dinner was ready I looked at my plate, pushed it away and said “no thanks mum, I will never eat meat again as long as I live”
No one supported me in my decision as they felt it wouldn’t last due to my eating routine before this moment.

9 years went past where I didn’t give meat a second thought, don’t get me wrong cutting meat out of my diet and the complete change made me severely ill. I lost over 4 stone during this period, and I became gaunt and freakishly skinny. I used to faint at school constantly and always felt run down and had no energy. I became anemic due to lack of iron, and my bones became weaker.

At first I took the loss of weight as a positive, and ended up cutting more and more food out of my diet, until the point I was diagnosed with an eating disorder and couldn’t cope with daily life.
I got help and in time I managed to regain a healthy diet and weight and I felt a lot better in myself, the support of my friends made me realise what I was doing, and without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.

My point is, the media scares me. It can influence you in so many ways and you won’t even realise it until it’s too late.

To whoever is reading this, you are perfect the way you are and only you can look after yourself, do it, before things get out of control like they did with me.

Look after yourself!

Sisterhood- My Emily Rose

20140123-181029.jpg

Emily-Rose my mini me with a 9 year age gap.
My sister is a younger, more innocent looking version of myself. With her blonde hair and big brown eyes she looks angelic compared to me, with my dark features, green eyes and dyed hair, sporting several large tattoos and piercings.
She could get away with murder due to her angelic appearance.
Emily-Rose is one of the funniest people I know. She has her own weird sense of humour and thinks she knows all there is to know about the world.

She looks up to me, god knows why as I’m not exactly the best role model for a child, but I try my best and guide her as well as I can.

I use my sister for a lot of my photography work, she likes being my model at times, which is a bonus for me (although sometimes I do have to bribe her with sweets) so a lot of my designs and photography work that I post may include her.

Having a sister is like having a best friend you can’t get rid of. You know whatever you do, they’ll still be there” – Amy Li
